House Rental Information
The concert room and upstairs decks of the Douglas Beach House are available for wedding receptions, parties, music presentations, and off-site meetings.
The casual oceanfront setting and warmth of the room make it the Coastside's most unique venue for an unforgettable reception or creative business meeting

Receptions, Parties and Music Presentations
Rental space includes the upstairs concert room (which has a dance floor, stage, prep kitchen & bar); plus the inside and outside decks. Additional rental of the living room area may be needed for music presentations. See the Reception Information Sheet for a list of tables and chairs available at no cost. For receptions and parties, the most comfortable is 80 for buffet seated dining and keeping the dance floor open. We have accommodated 100-125 by putting seating in the dance floor area. For parties, using hors d'ouevres stations with stand up bistro tables is also an alternative. For music presentations the concert room will seat approximately 180 plus rental of the living room for break-out space. Floor Plan (pdf)
Hours of Rental
8 hours (5 hours for event and 3 hours for setup and cleanup); cannot go past 9:00 pm
Room for about 25 cars behind building, street parking
We have a list of preferred caterers who know the House, will set up the room, and keep your time constraints in mind. You are not restricted to using them, however we recommend that you meet with your caterer onsite to view the room and discuss details. Alcohol is permitted with no restrictions.
Dependent on the Bach performance schedule and prior commitments.
$3,000 for an 8-hour rental plus additional costs for use of sound/stage equipment or Steinway piano. Overage hours are charged at $200 per hour. A deposit of $500 is required to hold the date and may be partially refundable depending on our ability to re-book. The full balance is due two weeks prior to event. At this time we do not accept credit cards. Catering is a separate contract
The concert room upstairs of the Douglas Beach House is available for weekday meetings/off-sites. If your group is 15 or less, ask about the downstairs Ebb Tide Beach Club space. Both provide 180 degree ocean views, cedar paneled interior, and an exceptional inspirational atmosphere. Cost is $150 per hour and includes:
- 1,940 sq.ft. meeting area
- Cedar paneling with fireplace
- Large ocean view windows
- Outdoor and indoor decks
- 50 guests maximum, 10 minimum
- Weekday use of concert room, inside and outside decks for maximum of 8 hours, ending no later than 9 pm.
- Set-up of tables and chairs, projection screen.
- Morning coffee service.
- Wi-fi connection.
- Food service is not included. We can put you in touch with our preferred caterers or you can bring your own.
There are two bed and breakfasts on the street and an oceanfront restaurant. The paved Coastside Trail passes directly in front of the facility with access to pristine beaches.
You can also visit nearby redwood trees, explore tide pools, play golf, go horseback riding on the beach, visit the commercial fishing harbor, and dine at one of several excellent local restaurants.
